Holy shit how does this not have any reviews? This is a diamond in the rough, for sure. Very underrated debut from MCS (possibly not to their fans, but in the larger pop-punk/power-pop picture . . . alliteration is fun) that was initially a self-financed recording/release that Epitaph wisely signed them off of and reissued with a slightly different tracklist. Moog-infused (though it's a little buried in the mix when the band is firing on all cylinders) power-pop with a punk edge. There's some serious rippers on this album, but also very subdued tracks. A very well-paced album.The lyrics are original and a little silly, but that comes with the territory.This album is good front to back, and again, very well sequenced for maximum listen-age.Dave
