  • More sweet and soulful tech-house by the Circulation boys on their second album, titled (appropriately enough), COLOURS 2. Picking up where the previous COLOURS left off, “Terracotta” is a beatless journey, but “Chocolate” quickly picks up the flavor and the rhythm. “Khaki” is bright and sunny, like an afternoon on a beach, while “Vanilla,” despite its title, has a dirty funk going on. The tracks segue into one another for a continuous journey, oftentimes highlighting contrasts: “Emerald” is darker with a sensuous vocal sample, but “White” is pure disco pleasure, strings and all. “Sepia” closes out the album on an ambient note, which, in a way, brings us right back to the beginning. A strong album, much more refined than COLOURS.
